No Place Like Home: Schlam Relocates Headquarters

Since its inception 20 years ago, Schlam has grown to become a leading provider of diversified mining products and engineering services, this growth has seen them recently relocate its corporate headquarters from Forrestfield to a new and larger office space in Welshpool.

The move to a larger corporate office is reflective of the company’s strategic shift to rapidly grow its People Solutions division and the ongoing growth in the Payload Solutions side of the business.

“We’ve made a commitment to grow our services division – People Solutions – and to support that growth we needed to find new offices with enough space to allow us to continue to scale up, now and into the future.

That, along with some significant contract wins with a number of Teir 1 miners has necessitated the need for more office space to accommodate our growth, ” said Schlam CEO Matt Thomas.

Conveniently located at 404 Orrong Road Welshpool, Schlam’s new headquarters occupies approximately 1,700sqm of office space and complements the company’s existing facilities in Forrestfield, Waroona and the Pilbara.

Schlam’s manufacturing location in Forrestfield remains a core pillar in the products division – Payload Solutions – as the home of the world-leading dump body, the HERCULES.

Waroona is solely focused on manufacturing and rebuilding mining buckets such as Schlam’s own BARRACUDA.

The open-plan headquarters are designed to promote a free-flowing collaborative working environment for Schlam’s current workforce however consideration for its ever-expanding team has been a focus for the move.

“Schlam has grown rapidly over the last 12 months in both revenue and the number of employees who work tirelessly to ensure that the customer experience is exceptional. While this growth is truly extraordinary, creating a new home for our employees to thrive is a real privilege.

Our move into Welshpool marks an exciting new era for the company,” said Matt.
